6.7.08 Jana & Adam are Married!

Even a day stricken with 6 confirmed tornadoes, numerous funnel clouds (including 1 over their original ceremony site), pouring rain, hail and flooding couldn't stop Jana & Adam from saying "I do." From the moment we arrived at Rotary Gardens in Janesville, tornado sirens were sounding and it was unnaturally dark for the middle of the day. With an outdoor ceremony planned to begin only a couple of hours later, and the radar showing a relentless line of storms coming one after another, the call had to be made on whether or not to move the ceremony indoors to the reception site or to leave it as planned outdoors in Rotary Gardens. Both Adam and Jana stayed optimistic that the sky would clear, but following a scary moment where the facility made everyone (including another wedding reception) pile into bathroom stalls and a storage room, for safety, while a funnel cloud passed, they were faced with the reality that they had to alter their plans. Even though it wasn't what they planned, everyone involved pulled together and the ceremony went off great! The day presented a few more curveballs, including a power shortage in the DJ's system and a problem with the air conditioning, but through it all Jana & Adam never lost sight of what was truly important and smiled their way through the entire night.
