Andy & Tricia are engaged!

I have to love working with couples that are so comfortable being themselves in front of the camera. On Tuesday I had the opportunity to shoot Andy & Tricia's engagement session.  Andy & Tricia made my job easy as they were great at adding lib and having fun with the shoot.

Both Andy & Tricia were so kind during their shoot and a lot of fun to chat with. It was great talking to them not only about their plans for their wedding, but also what Derrick & I have been up to, our new website etc.  I am anxious to shoot their wedding in Madison at the end of July! Paige & Andrew are engaged!

Tuesday started out a bit hectic for Derrick & I. My Mom was having some dental issues that was making it necessary for her to seek emergency care, with short notice Derrick & I hated to impose having anyone else babysit Koeplin, so we decided we would try and juggle our crazy day of shoots, meetings & interviews and bring Koeplin along. We officially named May 19th, "Bring your baby to work day."

The first shoot of our day was with Paige and Andrew and Derrick & I both wanted the opportunity to work with them at their engagement session, we decided to see how Paige and Andrew would feel about little Koeplin tagging along and assisting us on the shoot. Without skipping a beat both Paige and Andrew were completely gracious and understanding. You can truly tell their love for children goes beyond both devoting their careers to being teachers. Koeplin did great at the shoot sitting in his stroller and drinking his bottle. :)

It was a great to see Paige & Andrew again who are having a July 12th wedding in Madison. With their ceremony planned at Olin Park & their reception at The Concourse we are looking forward to their summer theme wedding. I can't wait to see the bridesmaids dresses that sound really fun and less formal then most. It also should help all the guys fight the July heat as they are planning on having tan tuxes rather then the traditional black. We had a really nice time getting to chat with Paige & Andrew more and here all about their "big" day.
It of course made our job easy as both Paige & Andrew are easy to photograph...check out a few of our favorites from their session!

Michelle & Bob are Engaged!

Derrick & I had a chance to meet up with Michelle & Bob last Thursday (May 15th) at Olbrich Gardens, after shooting at Vilas earlier that day we couldn't wait to see the flowers in bloom at Olbrich. The gardens were gorgeous and a great backdrop for the couples shoot.

It was great chatting with Michelle & Bob and hearing more about what they have planned for their wedding later this summer. Unfortanetly we realized at one of our shoots this week that we still have Bob's watch in our camera bag. (so beware if you give us something to hold onto during your shoot:)

Charice & Ryan are engaged & spring is here!

Derrick & I met up with Charice & Ryan last Thursday (May 15th) at Vilas Park.
It was great for us both to meet Ryan and for Charice & I to meet. Derrick had actually met & worked with Charice before as she was a bridesmaid in Amanda & Jason's wedding that he shot last fall. We always feel so honored to do a friend or relatives wedding of one of our past couples, it makes us so grateful that the couple not only felt we did great work for them, but enough so that they trust Derrick & I enough to have one of their best friends use our services as well! How exciting!

First off Vilas Park was absolutely beautiful as all of the crab apple trees were in full bloom. Its quite apparent that spring has finally come to Madison!
Charice and Ryan were a lot of fun to walk around the park with as we captured their love for one another. We are looking forward to their fall wedding this October at Millford Hills.

Jennifer & Adam are Engaged!

We took advantage of the beautiful weather last Tuesday & met up with Jennifer & Adam for their engagement session downtown.

Jennifer & Adam were so much fun to work with and photographed beautifully! Derrick & I both really enjoyed walking around downtown Madison and capturing Jen & Adam's love for one another as we got to know more about them; how they met, got engaged etc. We are really looking forward to shooting their wedding this August at beautiful Millford Hills.

Jenna & Justin are Engaged!

Derrick & I met up with Jenna & Justin last Tuesday for their engagement session at the capital and downtown. Not having met the couple prior we were not only anxious to work with them, but of course to meet them and get to know their story a bit more.

We were in for a great time, as Jenna & Justin are such a fun loving couple who you can tell truly feel comfortable laughing and being silly with one another.

We can't wait to see what we are in for on their wedding day in August as they wed at the Capital, and follow their ceremony up with a celebration at The Brink Lounge.

Robin & Rick are Married!

An evening full of Great Spirits!

With Rick's love for wine, and the couple having gotten engaged in Napa Valley, Robin and Rick had a vineyard inspired wedding full of fun loving folks, wine and great décor. At the heart of the day was a couple who was truly in love and laid back enough to fully enjoy the great day they had put together for themselves. The fun atmosphere surrounding the day made our job easy and allowed for a lot of creativity. Their fabulous florists & event designers Personal Expressions,  spent the majority of the day decorating the Quality Inn & Suites in Fitchburg & really glammed the room out in the entire wine theme. Below are a few photo previews from their day.
