10.10.08 Stephanie & Dave are Married!

When we pulled up to the 150+ year-old church in Plain, that was to be the setting for Stephanie & Dave's ceremony, it was nothing like we had expected. After the 40-minute drive from Chula Vista, where we had met up with Stephanie and Dave to begin their coverage, and where we would be returning for their reception, we expected to find a quaint Victorian style church nestled in the small town. Instead (much like Steph & Dave, their relationship, and the day that was unfolding around us) it was big, beautiful and meant to stand the test of time, a towering and sharp contrast with the landscape and village surrounding it. Almost fortress-like, this grand church has guarded over 4 generations of Stephanie's families nuptials, including her parents. Besides doing portraits at Chula, where Stephanie & Dave saw each other for the first time that day, we ventured to what used to be her families farm, which was also in Plain. Stephanie and Dave were greeted by many family and friends, ready to celebrate with them when they returned to Chula Vista. Great toasts, dinner, and dancing capped off what was a perfect day for Stephanie and Dave to get married. Below are some previews of their proofs.
