9.26.08 Megan & Tom are Married!

"Mom, it doesn't matter what happens on the wedding day, or any details that may be missed or forgotten, all that matters is I am marrying Tom."

These were the words that Megan's Mom told me Megan had told her time and time again when asked questions about the day. Unfortunately we occasionally see weddings where brides and grooms are so caught up in the details of their day that they are are so stressed and become groom & bride-zillas making them forget the significance of the day. Megan & Tom were on the other end of this spectrum. It was so refreshing to see two people fully understanding what their wedding day was about; not the beautiful flowers, or the breathtaking dress, the open bar, the invitations, the seating chart....but rather the person waiting for you at the end of the isle, the man who's hand your Dad places yours in, the woman who can't wipe the smile off her face as she approaches you. These two high school sweethearts had a fabulous day, with all the beautiful details that we see at many weddings, but the detail we enjoyed documenting the most was their shared happiness to marry one another.

We had a great time documenting Megan & Tom's day, with both photography & videography. (we shot Megan & Tom's wedding in HD video, so watch for samples coming very soon!)
It was another unseasonably warm September day, the blue skies and beautiful golden lighting was a photographers dream during their outdoor ceremony at Lake Windsor Country Club.

Lake Windsor provided some great backdrops for pictures as you will see below.
